Before work starts

  • Final price
  • Work scope
  • Timing and access details
  • Payment method
  • Whether inspection is needed first
Community standards

Safety & Code of Conduct

These rules apply to customers and providers before, during, and after every job.

Transparent pricing

Providers must explain call-out fees, labour, materials, deposits, and likely price changes before work starts. Customers must describe the job honestly and must not change the agreed scope without discussing price and timing.

Punctual communication

Both sides must give realistic arrival and response times, confirm appointments, and notify the other person promptly about delays, cancellations, access problems, or changes to availability.

Professional behavior

Treat people, homes, workplaces, and personal information with respect. Harassment, discrimination, threats, unsafe conduct, pressure tactics, deliberate damage, fraud, and misleading profiles or reviews are not allowed.

Reporting and consequences

Report concerns with the related job, messages, dates, and supporting evidence where available. Yɛmame may warn users, remove content, restrict features, suspend or close accounts, preserve relevant safety records, and contact emergency services or authorities when required by law or immediate risk.

Profile review

What “Profile Reviewed” means

Profile Reviewed means available provider details such as service category, service area, and contact information have been checked where available. It does not guarantee work quality or pricing.

  • Service category and profile details reviewed where available
  • Service area and contact information reviewed where available
  • Customer reviews and job history shown when available
  • Recent work photos shown when providers add them
Payments & guarantees

Know how payment protection applies

Providers set their own prices. Confirm final price, timing, scope, and materials in Yɛmame before checkout or work begins.

Where managed checkout is shown, Yɛmame manages the transaction and Paystack processes the payment. A record that someone paid outside Yɛmame is only a status record and is outside Yɛmame refund remedies. Managed payment does not guarantee provider work quality, pricing, or outcomes.

Common questions

Quick answers

See the full FAQ for booking, provider responses, pricing, trust, coverage, and support.

Can I book a provider immediately?

Yɛmame is not instant booking. Most jobs need pricing, availability, or clarification first. Post the job and compare provider responses before choosing who to continue with.

Do I hire someone when I post a job?

No. Posting a job lets interested providers respond. You decide who to continue with after reviewing responses.

Does Yɛmame handle payments?

Where managed checkout is shown, Yɛmame is the merchant and Paystack processes the payment, refund, and provider transfer. Otherwise, Yɛmame may only record that the customer says they paid outside the platform and whether the provider confirms receipt. Recording does not send or protect the money.

What does “Profile Reviewed” mean?

Profile Reviewed means available provider details such as service category, service area, and contact information have been checked where available. It does not guarantee work quality or pricing.

What if something goes wrong?

Use Support to create a report tied to the job record. Include the job details, provider name, screenshots where useful, and a short explanation of what happened.
