Terms of Service
Last updated: 15/06/2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of Yɛmame. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to comply with these terms and all applicable laws.
1. Platform role
Yɛmame is a marketplace that connects clients and service providers. Unless stated otherwise, Yɛmame is not a direct employer of providers and does not independently guarantee individual service outcomes.
2. Eligibility and account requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
- You must provide accurate account and profile information.
- You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and account access.
- You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account use.
3. Client responsibilities
- Provide clear, lawful, and accurate job details and service locations.
- Respond promptly to provider communications related to active bookings.
- Confirm price, timing, and scope clearly before work starts.
- Treat providers respectfully and avoid abusive or unsafe behavior.
4. Provider responsibilities
- Maintain accurate profiles, categories, service areas, and availability.
- Perform accepted jobs professionally, safely, and in line with agreed scope.
- Provide truthful pricing and avoid misleading claims or hidden charges.
- Comply with applicable laws, licensing obligations, and platform safety rules.
5. Bookings, price notes, and cancellations
Pricing, milestones, and timing should be clearly agreed before work starts. Yɛmame keeps job context, price notes, and payment references organized so both sides have a clear shared record.
Yɛmame does not currently process, hold, refund, or protect payments between customers and providers. Yɛmame does not currently provide escrow services, operate wallets, issue provider payouts, provide materials advances, or guarantee refunds. If Yɛmame later offers a separate payment feature, that feature will be governed by additional terms shown before use.
6. Ratings, reviews, and content
Reviews and user-generated content must be truthful, respectful, and lawful. We may remove or restrict content that violates our policies, legal obligations, or rights of others.
7. Prohibited conduct
- Fraud, impersonation, or identity misrepresentation.
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or exploitation.
- Circumventing platform controls or attempting unauthorized system access.
- Using the platform for illegal, unsafe, or deceptive activities.
8. Suspension and termination
Yɛmame may suspend, limit, or terminate accounts that violate these terms, trust and safety requirements, or applicable law. We may also take related enforcement action to protect users and marketplace integrity.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Services are provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yɛmame disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from platform use, third-party conduct, or service outcomes.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by applicable laws of Ghana unless otherwise required by law. Disputes should first be submitted to support for good-faith review before formal action. Yɛmame support may review job records and user reports, but it is not a payment, escrow, payout, refund, or adjudication service.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect legal, operational, or product changes. Continued use of Yɛmame after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms of Service should be submitted through Yɛmame in-app support so the request can be tracked with your account. If you cannot access your account, use the public Contact page and choose “Privacy or account request.”
