Managed Payments and Refund Policy
Last updated: 24/08/2026
This policy applies only when a job displays Yɛmame managed checkout. Paystack processes the payment and provider transfer; Yɛmame operates the marketplace transaction and is the merchant presented to the customer. When managed checkout is unavailable, Yɛmame may let the parties record and confirm that payment occurred outside the platform. That record does not send money and is not eligible for a Yɛmame refund or payment remedy.
Before payment
- Both parties approve the final job scope and price.
- The customer sees the total charged and available payment channel.
- The provider sees applicable processing cost, Yɛmame commission, adjustments, and estimated net earnings.
- Yɛmame does not add an undisclosed customer checkout fee.
Provider pricing and release
Providers have no mandatory subscription or per-lead charge under the launch model. Yɛmame charges no commission on the provider’s first three eligible completed paid jobs. From job four, the disclosed success commission applies. Actual payment-processing cost may also be deducted. Pending earnings normally become available 24 hours, 48 hours, or five days after completion depending on provider history, job value, and risk. An affected earning remains paused while a relevant service or gateway dispute is open. During the initial launch, payouts are limited to the provider’s verified Ghana mobile-money phone number.
Ordinary complaint window
Report an ordinary service problem within 48 hours after recorded completion. Include a clear description and relevant evidence. This window helps Yɛmame pause provider release; it does not remove rights relating to unauthorized payment, fraud, duplicate charge, latent defect, applicable law, or payment-network rules.
Possible remedies
- Provider no-show, provider cancellation, duplicate charge, or substantiated non-delivery: normally full refund.
- Partially delivered service: proportionate refund.
- Repairable defect: re-performance first where safe and reasonable.
- Materially defective service: partial or full refund based on evidence.
- Ordinary dissatisfaction after accepted completion: review, not an automatic refund.
Approved refunds are returned through Paystack to the applicable payment channel where supported. Timing depends on Paystack, the mobile-money operator or bank, and the payment channel. Original processing costs may not be recoverable. Yɛmame will not promise a refund before eligibility and gateway execution are confirmed.
Chargebacks and provider responsibility
Payment networks may investigate or reverse a transaction after provider payout. Yɛmame may submit job and payment evidence. Where a refund, reversal, or chargeback is attributable to a provider, Yɛmame may deduct the provider-attributable amount from that provider’s available or future earnings or request repayment, with notice and subject to applicable law. Another provider’s earnings will not be used to cover that debt.
No wallet, escrow, or insurance
Pending and available provider earnings are job-specific accounting records. Yɛmame does not provide deposits, savings, stored value, person-to-person transfers, or unrelated withdrawals. The internal protection reserve belongs to Yɛmame and is not an insurance policy, guarantee, customer balance, or provider collateral.
Support
Open a support request from the affected job whenever possible. Include the booking ID, explanation, requested remedy, and only the evidence needed for review. Also see the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
