Payments Policy

Yɛmame is free

Posting a job, creating a provider profile, receiving requests, responding, and messaging are free. Yɛmame charges no subscription, no commission, and no fee per lead or response. Any future paid option will be announced at least 30 days before it starts.

You pay the provider directly

Yɛmame does not collect, hold, transfer, or refund money for jobs. The customer and provider agree the price and payment method (for example cash or mobile money) and settle it between themselves. Yɛmame never asks you to send job payments to a Yɛmame number or account.

The customer may record in Yɛmame that they paid the provider directly, and the provider may say whether they received it. That record is the participants’ own statement: Yɛmame did not process the payment and does not independently verify it. It helps with reviews and support, but it does not send, hold, or protect money.

Paying safely

• Agree the final price, scope, timing, and who buys materials before work starts.
• Keep price changes in the Yɛmame job messages so there is a record.
• Avoid paying large deposits before you have met the provider or seen the work start. If materials must be bought first, ask for receipts.
• This applies equally to service businesses. A “Business verified” badge means Yɛmame checked the business registration — it is not a reason to pay upfront, and the people a business sends are checked separately.
• Pay the provider’s own mobile-money number and check the registered name before you send.
• Never share PINs, one-time codes, or card details with anyone, including someone claiming to be from Yɛmame.

If something goes wrong

Report the problem through Support from the affected job. Yɛmame can review the job record, warn or restrict accounts, and help both sides reach a fair outcome. Because Yɛmame does not handle the payment, it cannot refund money paid directly to a provider. For fraud, contact your mobile-money provider or bank straight away.
