How to hire an electrician safely in Ghana

Note which room, socket, light, appliance, or circuit is affected. Say whether a breaker trips, lights flicker, power is intermittent, or there is heat, smoke, a burning smell, or sparking.
If there is an immediate danger, switch off power only when you can do so safely and keep people away from the area.
Ask for fault finding before assumptions
A safe repair should be based on inspection and testing, not only on replacing the first visible component. Confirm the inspection fee and how any additional work will be approved.
Finish with a safe test
Agree what will be tested after the work, which materials were installed, and whether any unresolved defect remains. Keep the job scope and payment record together.
